The audio is pretty good, with some nice melodies sprinkled round the soundtrack. Even though you may not be rushing out to purchase Tera Gold the soundtrack for your car, it will get the job done by supplying fine, psychological, sub context to a lot of these battles and the tracks usually really kept me motivated. A few of the paths teetered into momentary greatness before retreating into more generic RPG-style chord constructions, but that I did appreciate the good moments sufficient to forget the generic ones.

Voices are also great, while I'd have appreciated a lot of them, what is here is well ventilated and voices fit the characters nicely and there's a fantastic amount of variation in the tones and shipping styles of different characters. The sound effects coud have experienced more of a punch to them, though. Lots of the samples for a variety of sounds are tacky and generic, and that I feel like marginally more effort in this department might have gone a very long way to helping set some more personality for the game, which is just another missed opportunity I think they could have easily dealt with to the console version.

Thankfully what we have here is really a well-designed game which nails the essentials of action-based online RPG gameplay. What it lacks in performance it makes up for in layout, and what it lacks in complexity it makes up for overall fun-factor. If you are interested in TERA, you've got very little to lose by trying it out on consoles thanks to this "freemium" version it finds itself.

I just wish there was a reason for people who have already played with it 3 decades ago in their PC's to come back. If you're an experienced dungeon crawler whose searching for another step in complexity and depth, TERA may not be your jam, at least not in this day and age, but if you are mostly a console gamer and interested in dipping your toes in the MMO genre, then the console version of TERA is a great place to get started.  https://www.mmotank.com/Tera-Gold.html
